Guitar of the Month

Goulding Bohemian

from Goulding Guitars

Well, to be honest, I’m not being rigorous about changing this entry every month. Slapped wrists. And this time I’m just going to look lazy as well. As you may already know, I’ve completed a full review of Anthony Goulding’s all aluminium ‘Bohemian’ – so what’s with the Goulding overload?

If you’ve read my review, you’ll understand that I was pretty taken with it so – doh! – it gets to be my Guitar of the Month. However, I just wanted to add a little spin to that review by placing a photo of a different iteration of the model that I reviewed right here:

Goulding Custom BohemianIt’s billed on Anthony’s site as the Custom Bohemian but this is the only photo I can find of this particular combination of base guitar and hardware. I’m putting it up here because if I had the choice of Goulding models to choose from, this is the one I’d go for – or at least use it as a starting point for my commission. It’s just a taste thing – I’d go for those elegantly recessed pots and the understated refinement of the hardware on this version any day. Have a look at the review to compare.

In fact, knowing the qualities of the one I’ve been playing with and looking at this eye candy here – I think I’m falling in love.

By the way, what’s going on in the electrics department there, Anthony? My guess is that there’s piezo pickups under the bridge, but have you gone the whole hog here and given it synth access? Where do I sign my life away … ???
