CC CUSTOM by Flaxwood Guitars

Flaxwood Guitars CC Custom 1

I wish there were better images of this guitar just so I can verify my suspicions that the Flaxwood Guitars CC Custom truly is a beautiful guitar. There is something about the lines that hint at the shallow curves of a Rennaissance guitar and the finish looks to be something very special.

Flaxwood Guitars CC Custom 2The Flaxwood website says:

Jazzing it up with Charlie

“Introducing the latest addition to the Flaxwood line: the CC Custom. Take the award-winning P90 tones of the Liekki, combine them with a handwound Veijo Rautia Candy Bar pickup in the bridge for some Charlie Christian-esque tones, add our elegant new pickguard feature and you have an instrument that combines vintage jazz tones with the signature Flaxwood sustain. The CC Custom also features only one master volume and one master tone for added ease of play”.

Looking closely, for me the visual is slightly spoiled by the Seymour Duncan P90 soapbar in the bridge. However, although this company pay a lot of attention to the aesthetics, their prime concern is sound and of course that must be the reason for the mixed pickup design.
